General Shop FAQ
Q. I don’t have a Paypal account, can I still buy from you?
A. You sure can! The Paypal payment page has a link to make a payment for non-members by using any major credit card.
Q. Can I reserve or pre-order items that are not in stock?
A. As long as an item is not discontinued, you can still order an item that we currently do not have in stock. We carry many items that are special order only and we do not carry them in stock on a normal basis. We also have some items that are on order and are coming in or are new items that we are waiting to get in stock. Should you decide to order one of these items, you will need to pay for the item up front and you will be later billed for shipping once your item is in-stock and ready to ship to you.
Q. What if I want to purchase some items that are in stock and some that are pre-order? Can I wait to ship the entire order?
A. If you purchase a mix of in-stock items as well as items that are out of stock and are available for pre-order, you will only be charged for shipping based on the items that are currently in stock and ready to ship right away. You will later be billed for shipping on items that arrive in-stock and are ready to ship to you. Should you want us to hold on to your order until all your items are in stock and ready to go, simply indicate this in the “Shipping Instructions” box located at the bottom of Step 2 of the Check Out process. Once your entire order is ready to ship, we will contact you for the balance of the shipping costs.
Q. What if there are taxes, duty, brokerage fees or other shipping related fees on my shipment? Who pays for this?
A. Please note that additional charges such as taxes, duty or brokerage fees are the responsibility of the receiver for international shipments. Typically FedEx and UPS ground services charge an additional brokerage fee post-delivery to the receiver directly for orders valued above $200.
Q. Are you overcharging for shipping?
A. Predatorstuff.com believes in charging the exact shipping amount and not inflating shipping costs for profit. We guarantee that the quoted shipping price is accurate to within $5.00. If you are overcharged for shipping, the balance of what you paid vs actual cost will be refunded to you. When you check out, the shipping page shows you exactly how big the box(es) is and it’s weight so you can check out the rates yourself. In-stock items typically ship from Montreal, Canada.
Q. I paid for a pre-order but I just realized I need the money back because my car broke down.
A. Should you wish to cancel a pre-order before the stated lead-time has expired, you can contact us with your order number and request a refund, but please bear in mind you will be charged a 5% return fee. I know this is lame, but I am am charged a fee from Paypal when you made your payment and I had to cover that fee when I paid the producer for your product as well. The 5% fee I charge is to cover those merchant fees I had to pay for your order.
Q. What happens if I pre-order something and it turns our you can’t get it in any more due to a broken mold, supply issues, etc?
If we are unable to to fulfill a pre-order for any reason within the allotted lead time, we will provide you with a full refund.
Q. I received my kit but it’s damaged, what now?
Every kit shipped is inspected for damage or missing parts, packed and double boxed with lots of padding and packing peanuts. We do our very best to ensure your kit will arrive undamaged, but we can not control how the post office and couriers handle these boxes so damage may occasionally happen. We do our best to prevent it, but even the best packaging in the world can’t prevent all breakages. So in the case of receiving a damaged kit that can’t easily be repaired or you simply don’t want to have to repair it, simply contact us and we will be more than happy to get a replacement out to you. You will need to ship the old kit back to us and we will refund that shipping cost once we receive a refund from the post office on the insurance claim.
Q. Why do some items have a brown button that says something like “Buy From Sideshow” instead of a Green “Add to Cart” button?
Any items with a brown “Buy From …” button is not an item we sell directly through our shop, it’s an affiliate sale. This means you need to go to the affiliate site to complete your purchase. Any item with a green “Add to Cart” button is an item that is purchased through us directly.
