I would like to add my sentiments and express my deep sorrow on the passing of Apple founder and Chairman Steve Jobs. His attention to detail and vision was reflected in the innovation of the Apple portfolio of products.  His passing leaves a huge gap in the technology community.

It is here folks, the Big Daddy or Big Chap of the Alien world.  Just launched earlier today this monster is 16 inches high and weighs in at 7 pounds.  If you are able to get the Sideshow Exclusive Edition, it comes with your very own Chest Burster accessory.  Sales are being limited to one per customer so you know that at a run of 500 this awesome piece is going to sell fast.  I got mine and have leaned on a few friends to pony up and get me a few more.  Going to be a long wait until next spring but I am sure it will be worth it.  Enjoy!

Ever since I started collecting statues and building/painting models I have been in awe of Randy Bowen and Narin.  Both artists have shown an amazing talent and ability to interpret complex characters, develop new characters from existing ones and just design/sculpt incredible figures from scratch.  One of the highlights in my experience since assuming responsibility for Predator Stuff has been establishing a relationship (well via email but still a relationship) with Narin.  I have to admit that the first email I sent him was full of gushing praise and sounded a bit like a tween girl writing to Justin Bieber.  But once we got past all that I have thoroughly enjoyed discussing collections, statues and models.  So, I figured that it was time to lean on him a bit and ask him to crank out a few of his pieces that, well quite frankly, I missed out on.  Being the gentleman he is, he agreed!  So it is with great pleasure that I announce the return of:

The Narin 1:4 Scale Hellboy

This was the first in a planned series of large scale kits to be produced by Narin and this bad boy is big.  He stands 21″ in height and weighs in at over 5 pounds AND HE’S BACK!!  This phenomenal kit comes in 25 pieces and includes two sets of horns, the full large set and the ground down ‘stubs’ you see in the movies.  For a full review of this model, scroll on down in this column and take a gander at Dans review from March of this year.  Keep in mind that the review model was extensively customized and shows what can be done with this amazing kit.  Here are some photos of the actual kit:

The true measure of a figure artist is their ability to sculpt anatomically correct musculature without looking cartoonish.  Narin is the master!

The Narin Alternative Hunter

Also available on a very limited basis is the Alternative Hunter.  This is a truly delicious kit with some of the most outstanding (even for Narin) details ever sculpted.  This is a 1:6 scale kit depicting a fully armored young wolf.  Check out the helmet attached to the shoulder and the cannon poised for attack.

Hey gang! Our fellow Predhead Jason Schwab has just put together a new update on all things Predator from NECA and has sent me all kinds of goodies to share in another edition of Collector’s Voice!  So without further banter, here’s Jason…

Hello predatorstuff.com! Jason Schwab speaking,  reporting in for Predator Toy Updates From The good folks at Neca.  Neca has released 2 extremely cool series of Predators figures , and they are very cool… the newest update, Neca is releasing series 3 in less than 2 months away and I am extremely excited to see how they will hold up.

Series 3 will have the predator hounds, the classic masked 1987 predator, and old grayback elder predator from predator 2. Neca recently has given us on their twitter image page, the packaging for the new neca predators series 3 figures, and damn, I am speachless.  It’s the coolest packaging I have ever seen!

Neca is in fact also giving us series 4 or aka the predator 2 line since the whole 4th series is Predator 2 friendly.  First, we will be getting the City Hunter, the Gort Predator, and the Boar Predator.  A 2011 comic con exclusive will have the Gort Predator with the 1987 Predator body. But wait, there’s more!  Neca will be giving us in the 4th wave the NECA’s “Lost Tribe” assortments, which will tackle all the Predators as seen at the end of Predator 2.

Welcome to a new edition of Collector’s Voice, where we feature the artwork, talents and writings of fellow Predatorstuff.com readers and collectors! Today I would like to show you some pretty awesome one-of-a-kind Gremlin buildups by a company called VW Studios. Check it out…

Company owner Vladimir writes in that he is from the Netherlands and runs this little imagineering studio and is looking forward to launching his own website in a couple of months.  VW Studio is particularly fond of the Predator and Gremlin movies and has created numerous lifesize busts, figures and weapons for collectors.  The unique part of VW is the fact that they don’t mass produce anything, all of their statues are unique one-up pieces.  Vlad sent me several photos of his Gremlin builds, which are fantastic, and promises to send me shots of his Predator related pieces.  Check out all the pics:
