Hey all:
First let me thank you for coming to PredatorStuff.com, the biggest Predator site on the net. Take some time to look around, check out the models, the reviews and some of the very cool articles on everyone’s favorite scifi star, the Predator.
So, this column is called About Me, I better do just that. My name is Rich Wathey and I acquired this site from Dan Richard who built it up from nothing to the amazing site it is now. I have been a Pred-lunatic since June 19, 1987 the day the movie opened in my neighborhood. It was my birthday and four of my buddies and I headed to the local multi-plex and settled in. I have never been so grabbed by a movie…ever. We stayed and watched it again and came back the next day and watched it twice more. At this point I am on view number 30 and yes, like some of you, can recite most of the dialogue by heart.
My model experience up until then was limited to Star Trek stuff. I remember building a copy of the Enterprise D and painting in all of the windows with a toothpick! I somehow got a catalog in the mail from some guy in New Mexico (I wish I could remember his name) which contained a boat load of cool models and a lot of pirated movies and movie props. So, there it was…a Predator model in the classic arms-spread-and-mandibles-flared position. Ordered it immediately. When it finally arrived, I was in modelers heaven. I’m a little embarrassed to admit it but the model turned out to be a recast of Randy Bowens classic Predator 1. In my defense, I didn’t even know what a recast was back then and rest assured, I have never bought another. Over the years, I have built and painted about 50-60 Predator models and have a collection of over 100 Predator related items. A couple of years ago, I started thinning out the herd since I am totally running out of room.
I will add to this section over time and hope to share some of my collection with you folks, so stay tuned and check back regularly.

DUDe. i have officially creamed over the artistic vision you lads have..did i just say lads…jeez…anyway. wow. i made a helmet , no where near this quality, using bondo and cardboard, oh yeah and a bicycle helmet. anyway. great job. keep kicking a** -El Guapo

I’m blown away by the models on this site! Amazing sculpts and even better color schemes. I’ve been sculpting for a few years myself and I can only hope to aspire to the level represented on this site. MY GOODNESS!

I just needed to tell you thanks for the write-up and give a shout out to everyone out there in blog-land.
This site is badass! I have been looking for a predator suit for awhile. Im a total fanatic ever since i saw the movie when i was 5. Unfortunately im only 15 but im going to definitely buy this suit! Dont ever close down this site and keep doing what your doing best.
