Amazing “Making Of” Photos posted of the Upcoming Hot Toys Berserker Statue!
July 13th, 2010
Hey guys! Let the Predators merchandise role! Companies are working up a storm as they start to unveil the latest Predators movie gear, figures, collectibles and anything else they can think of. A lot of it is meh, but the brand new photos posted of the upcoming Hot Toys Berserker Predator look AWESOME! Check this out…

The photos are posted on the blog of Joseph Tsang, the amazing artist that sculpts and paints the Hot Toys prototypes. You can check out his blog and AMAZING goodies at hk.myblog.yahoo.com/joseph-figure and on there you will about 80 new photos of the Predator. In addition to the preds, you can also find Aliens, Iron Man, and some human figures, and all of it is jaw-dropping. You can also check out all the photos by clicking on the gallery icon below:
I think it’s safe to say we all look forward to seeing this baby come up for pre-order in the very near future! You can order it direct from HT, however I expect Sideshow Collectibles will also be distributing this in North America so we don’t get killed on shipping. What do you guys think? Dig the new figure? Enjoy,
Dan

I actually think the HT Beserker Pred looks better than the one in the movie. Especially the unmasked head. Am I crazy!?
haha I was kind of thinking the same thing *chuckle*
This one looks AWESOME just as all the ‘Hot-toys’ tend to do. Yet what really ticks me off here, Is the fact that we’ll have to pay a rather hefty fee to have a decent figure. From what I’ve heard in forums–and I would not be shocked to find out this is true–The figures from NECA were less than desirable despite the fact that the prototypes looked so detailed and so unique. It leads me to wonder if the photos shown were for the ‘Hot-toys’ brand rather than the NECA line.
x3. In the film I thought his head was WAY to big. This seems more proportionate. I love the detail!
P.S.- Gotta’ agree with you and Sean. The unmasked head DOES look better. Reminds me a bit of Wolf. Just a bit.
The figure looks much better than the Predator in the film does…i agree with you
Im glad Im not the only one who thinks this
The one in the film looked too much like one of the mutant vampires from Blade2, or one of the crazy infected from Resident Evil that have the whole head open up into a giant mouth. I just thought the bottom mandibles opened up waaaaaaay too much in the film. Looked like he was going to open his mouth right off his face, lol.
When I saw the front page, I thought this was a new resin kit, or maybe something used on the production set. It does look great. Unfortunately, as history has shown, you can expect about 1/5 of that precision and detail in the finished product. The prototypes always look out of this world, and then the actual item falls way short.
Jason – Unfortunately that’s very true… the only one to date that I was pretty impressed with in terms of how close it matched the prototype was the P2 Elder one. That was a beauty!
looks awesome! just hope the production figure looks as good as the protoype.
Big Bad Toystore put the figure up for Preorder yesterday with a release date of late 2010.
The prototype is great and I do agree that it looks better than the movie. I just hope it does not disappoint, although I would have liked the piece to have a different stand like the classic predator. Anyhow still amazing!
