Sideshow Announces New Alien Queen Diorama (Already up For Pre-Order) and the AvP Chopper is on the Way!
February 16th, 2009
Hi gang! This weekend Sideshow has been holding their Toy Fair event, with new announcements and prizes all weekend.. I have to admit I was pretty disappointed with the announcement, it’s been pretty darn boring overall, but things finally started getting exciting today with the announcement of a killer new Alien Queen Diorama, and it’s already been posted for pre-order on the Sideshow site!
Here’s the specs and summary from Sideshow:
Sideshow Collectibles is proud to bring you the Queen Alien Diorama. Each diorama is cast in high-quality, heavyweight polystone, then hand-finished and hand-painted to Sideshow’s exacting standards. Each piece is individually hand-numbered, and packaged in a durable foam interior and stunning printed box. The Queen Alien stands 16 inches high above a themed display base, ready to join your Alien collection.

If you want to check out the rest of the information, see all the photos or to place a preorder, please click here to visit the Sideshow product page. The cool part of all this is that in the photos you will notice a couple of shots with a powerloader! This is an upcoming diorama that interlocks with the queen, featuring Ripley battling it out in her power loader!!
Next up, Sideshow just posted THIS in their production blog!

COME TO PAPPA! Glad Sideshow completed the set with the Chopper bio, although I don’t think there was much question that this would be released. Now if Sideshow would just release a P1 and P2 bio to go with the set so we don’t have to deal with the ridiculous prices and inaccuracies of the HCG pieces, not to mention not having to deal with the most unprofessional company I have ever seen.
Enjoy guys and have a great week!
Dan
