Collector’s Voice Feature – Warren Reviews the Cinemaquette Predator
December 8th, 2008
Hey all! Welcome to a new series I want to start doing, where YOU, the collectors and fans, can have your reviews featured as articles! We’ll call it “Collector’s Voice Features” and I invite anyone to send us reviews and photos of their favorite collectibles and we’ll see about posting it on the site for you! It can be anything really, not just Predators… as long as it’s something cool! And for our first official CV Feature, my buddy Warren sent in a little review of the Cinemaquette Predator that I thought I would share seeing as I still don’t have one of my own to show off yet!

The piece is very commanding, and yes the gross weight is nearly 90lbs. There is an outer shipper, an inner shipper and the very nicely produced main package complete with red foil logo imprint.
The figure’s legs pin into his ankles (feet are part of base) just below the shin armor. From there it is one piece all the way up – including head – minus forearms. They both mount via magnetic connections into squared key joints. The countdown feature on left engages when the cover panel is lifted. Only other adds are the plasma canon, pins into armor and four fabric straps for knees & elbows. Dreadlocks are a very rigid black rubber or vinyl, flat finish. Cables on left arm armor & breast plate are metal springs.
The body netting is very nice, custom produced HOWEVER it is missing from the left arm – which usually has netting on P1 configuration right? Steve has taken obvious license with the character’s head (bigger) and dreads (longer). But overall it’s a knockout. Again, with the base being a sweet plus … although the ferns I could do without.
Thanks a ton for taking the time to send in your review Warren and for the pics, very much appreciated! As you mentioned, the netting should be on the left arm, only the right arm is supposed to be bare.
Warren also submitted some VERY high resolution images that you can check out… the photos are large and very clear, so you can definitely see the detailing and textures of the statue. Check out his pics and the rest of the CM Pred photos I’ve collected by clicking on the photo icon below (the 4 photos named warrencm0x.jpg at the bottom of page 6 are Warren’s):
Thanks again Warren! If you guys want to send in your reviews, please use the contact form to get in touch with me.
Takre care,
Dan

Correct, P1 has netting on the left arm, the right arm is bare.
Yes, he has netting on his left arm in the movie… only his right has none.
Who cares its a beautiful work of art.
Well for the price, a certain degree of accuracy is expected
Ahhh point well taken. No disrespect intended. Should we ask for a discount? Lol!
They should just send me 1 free!
Hey Dan, great review – illuminating, and some awesome pics. Thanks for hosting this.
