Alright men (and ladies), batten down the hatches, lower the anchor and grab hold of something solid! Cinemaquette Predators are finally starting to ship to clients!!!

People have been starting to receive calls from Cinemaquette letting them know their credit cards are getting charged and units are shipping out, and we’ve already got 1 lucky guy who received his box and has posted over on the Statue Forum with PHOTOS!

Just in case you don’t have a SF membership and can’t see the pics, I’ve copied some to the CM gallery, so you can check out his pics by clicking the photo icon below (all the pics starting with “predator11-21-” are the new pics of an actual production piece):

My initial impression is that I am super impressed with the paint job on the base, it’s AMAZING!!! I love the water drops on the helmet, the chemical swirls and mud in the water and all the detailing, it looks amazing. The overall paint job on the Predator also looks pretty good, but some of the photos look a bit off… I don’t know if it’s just the lighting in the photos, but the teeth on the mandibles appear to have too much, way too much, orange on them. I also find the skin is quite bring and lacking some dark accents, like down the middle of the chest and stomach, there’s absolutely no darkening in there at all. In the prototype photos you have much more mottling on the skin and it’s darker in the middle. You can compare the pics to the prototype photo like this one.

The armor looks fabulous and the overall finished piece does indeed look amazing! I think it will be a little while until I see mine though as I ordered mine through BBTS, so we’ll see how long it takes. You can bet I’ll be posting TONS of pics, video and lots and a thorough review.

Congrats to anyone who is picking this up… it’s going to be amazing! By the way, when looking at the pics, check out that photo of it sitting next to the Sideshow Bust! The Sideshow bust goes just above the CM’s belt… by comparison the same bust reaches the Sideshow Predator Maquette at about chin level! Can you say huuuuuuuge?
