In a surprise move for most of us, ADI and Sideshow are partnering up to produce and distribute an original concept piece from AVPR put together by Jordu Schell! Introducing Jordu’s Hybrid Predalien Concept Maquette:

I was completely shocked that they decided to bring this piece to the production floor, although I have to admit it’s a very smart move as MANY folks believed this concept of the Predalien is superior to the one used in the actual movie. Personally it’s all about the Predators for me, so I don’t really care too much about how the Predalien looked so I would have been happy with either one. For those of you that are AVPR aficionados, you’ve probably already seen this badboy (or make that.. girl) within the pages of ADI’s book “Inside the Monster Shop”, which you can read about by clicking HERE. In the hardcover edition, you can find it adorning pages 105 and 106 in all it’s beastly glory!

I’ve got mine on pre-order so you can bet a review will be posted here when this piece ships out. I should mention that the price of $199.99 makes this A LOT more attractive to buy, unlike that $900 Predalien Maquette, which I thought was dreadfully expensive for a secondary character piece. I’d gladly shell that out for a Wolf Maquette though *hint* *hint* Sideshow…
