JUST ARRIVED! Fully painted Urban Hunter P2 Kit sample has arrived and it’s for sale! Also have a fully built P2 and AvP Celtic Helmet from my Collection for Sale!
September 6th, 2007
Have I got some sweet goodies for you guys today! I just received a fully painted sample of our new Urban Hunter 1:4 Scale P2 kit, and not only do I have some awesome new photos to show you and review this new kit, but I am giving you a chance to take this home before these kits even arrive in stock! As a matter of fact, this painted kit is already in the shop and ready to ship, and you can grab it HERE!

This is the first time I am finally able to see this kit with my own eyes, and it is HUGE! As I unpacked the box, the first thing you notice is how heavy this thing is, it is solid resin and it shows! Weighing in at around 15lbs, you feel just how solid and beautifully cast this piece is. It doesn’t have the feel you sometimes get with cheap thin hollow casts, this guy feels like you could batter down a door with it! The base is easily bigger than a dinner plate and is also made from the a thick solid casting. The final cast also appears to be very clean and required minimal clean up.. the detail is PHENOMENAL!
In fact, let’s talk about the detail on this kit, because it is truly ridiculous. If you’ve ever seen Narin’s work on his 1:6 and 1:5 scale pieces, you know his detail is insane and he sculpts some of the most detailed and original Predator statues around. Now what tends to happen is that the larger the kit, the less focus you have in creating those tiny details and minute textures that you have to try and cram in to smaller sizes. Well not this one… picture that exact level of detail narin Normally produces, but on a huge 1:4 scale kit!
In terms of sizing, the kit stands at about 19″ tall but is in a bent position, so don’t let the height fool you… if he was standing straight up you’d be looking at a kit in the 23″ – 24″ range. In fact, for the sake of comparison for those of you that already have kits, look at them right now. Note the size of the waist on your kits. They probably range in thickness from the size of your thumb to the thickness of a shot-glass… well this P2 kit is as thick as my wrist and the chest area is about as big as my fist (Did I mention I have huge hands?). In fact if you check out the gallery for this kit, you’ll see a photo of the raw kit standing next to a can of Coke, and you can see the waist is bigger and the can reaches about to the knee of the kit. Yep, it’s really that big!

Is this the ultimate Predator 2 kit? Well I suppose I’m a bit biased, but this is quite easily the best sculpted P2 kit I have EVER seen, the armor is especially INSANELY detailed and beautifully sculpted and I absolutely love the dynamic pose of the kit. It’s huge, detailed and looks FANTASTIC sitting next to the Sideshow P1 Maquette, which by the way is about the same size as this kit.
WANT TO OWN THIS?
Now that the review is done, and photos are taken, I am going to sell this gorgeous artist proof to one lucky customer! This is the ONLY painted proof of this kit and there will be no more… once this is gone I will only have raw kits available so this is your chance to grab this kit already built and painted and ready to display. And best of all, it’s ready to ship NOW! The unbuilt kits will only be here around the middle of October so you will be the first to own the Ultimate Urban Hunter. Along with this kit, you will also receive a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) stating that this kit is 1 of 1 artist proof editions signed by me and Narin. All Urban hunter kits will include a numbered COA (1 – 50 kits), but this will be the only one designated as our official artist proof!
The kit is ready to be purchased immediately from our shop at http://www.predatorstuff.com/shop/item_31/ and is marked at $499.99, which is very close to what this piece cost me in the first place to get here for this review and photo shoot. This is a great price considering the kit alone sells for $279.99. So if you’re thinking this would look sweet in your collection, don’t hesitate as it will probably sell quick, and then that’s it for painted proofs! Grab it now!

Predator 2 Bio Helmet for Sale:
Directly from my collection is a Predator 2 style bio made by my good friend Biohunter awhile back and it has just been added to the shop!

One of the toughest things for me to find was a good Predator 2 helmet that was solid in both detail, casting and accuracy. There are a lot of P2 bios out there for sale, but let’s be honest, most of them suck and are about as movie accurate as a rock. It took 2 years to eventually get one that was a generation casting from the original hero helmet, and none other than my good friend Biohunter was able to deliver it. Well now, it’s YOUR turn to own this gorgeous bio as I am offering my only available copy in the shop at http://www.predatorstuff.com/shop/item_33/. Once it’s sold, it’s gone and I have no more to offer. By the way, the bio you see in the pics is the EXACT one I am shipping to the new owner!

AvP Celtic Bio Helmet for Sale:
And last on today’s update is a Celtic Bio I am selling that was sold to me while ago and is a gorgeous built and painted original casting of Steve Hird’s AvP Celtic Bio, which is one of the most detailed and accurate Celtic bios available.

The detail and sculpt work on this bio is amazing and is quite easily the most complex bio sculpt ever done for the movies. Steve worked MANY hours to get this sculpted properly and the effort shines through completely! This is another bio that I only have 1 copy of, and it’s available in the shop for this one time only at http://www.predatorstuff.com/shop/item_32/. Once it’s sold, it’s done.
Unfortunately I never did a review on this bio so I didn’t take my own photos of it, but I have a TON of pics from Steve, and you can check them out by clicking on the photo icon below:
So that’s it gang, thanks for looking and enjoy the new pieces!
Thanks,
Dan

I take it the painted Urbonhunter has sold?
