August 1st, 2007
Hey guys!
Phew it is absolutely NUTS lately on Predatorstuff and I am posting almost daily now and spending hours answering your emails! In fact I’m trying to space out all the news I have so people that don’t check here daily don’t miss anything but there is just so much information that it’s starting to pile up and I really need to get this all out the door. In this post, I have quite a few things to share:
1. I have uploaded some new detail shots showing the gorgeous detailing on the new 1:4 scale Urban Hunter P2 kit I am selling.
2. I’d like to finally share my review of a bust I received months ago and have been waiting to post on here for weeks now.
3. A little reminder about the Hollywood Collectibles full scale P1 wall mount.
4. Showing off my Cinemaquette Predator photo collection!
5. NECA has announced they are producing AvP2 action figures!
So let’s get crackin!
URBAN HUNTER DETAIL SHOTS
First up, I have just uploaded a new series of photos that shows the kit part breakdown but also some up close detail shots of the sculpt itself.

In this update, I have uploaded 6 new detail shots of the kit showing the body and weapons that really show off the insane level of detail on this kit. And remember, this is no ordinary Narin kit, this is 1:4 scale, so it’s MASSIVE! In case you missed, read this post to find out all about this kit and how we are now collecting preorders to try and get a group discount on the final price. Read all about it or you can go straight to the pre-order page in our shop and reserve your kit now.

RINGO SO BUST REVIEW
I am VERY pleased to show off a piece I received quite awhile ago from my good friend Joe Evans, which is one of the famed partial busts taken from the full Ringo So figure. Now I am told this was done with Ringo So’s permission, but others have told me that it’s been recast against his permission, so I can honestly not say if this is a “baaaaaad” piece or not. I am trying to get in touch directly with Ringo So to find out what the deal is exactly, but in the meantime, here’s a look at this awesome piece.

The first thing I found out is that this bust is not full size 1:1 scale like I had always been told, it’s actually more along the lines of 2.5:1, so a bit smaller than half scale. It’s still a nice piece with some good size, but not as huge as I thought it would be. I guess that explains why it was cheaper than I had expected lol! In terms of sculpt, this is an interesting piece in terms of the back is completely missing and cut to look like a stone pedestal. When you check out the photos you’ll see exactly what I mean. Joe’s paint job absolutely blew me away, he did a gorgeous job. Unfortunately this one got banged up in shipping a bit, so I had to retouch up the face, but as you can see it’s a beauty!
Unfortunately I don’t know where you can get original castings of this YET, so for now all I can do is show off this awesome paint job by Joe and hopefully I can find a source for these from Ringo So when I get in touch with him for those of you that would like this bust. If you WOULD like one, please contact me letting me know you’d be interested so I know if it’s worth grabbing some or not.
Bottom line, if you score one of these, go for it, it’s a beauty! Check out some awesome photos I took by clicking the icon below:
HOLLYWOOD COLLECTIBLES GROUP PREDATOR WALL MOUNT
Did you miss the official announcement of the INSANELY COOL Hollywood Collectibles Group screen accurate Predator 1 wall mount bust? I had a few people ask if I knew anything about where they could get it awhile ago and I told them I would post an announcement with an affiliate link.
So just in case you missed it, you can read all about this awesome new piece HERE, which features some comparison shots to the actual SWS props and some additional information about this bust that you may not know about. If you want to order one, you can help support this site by purchasing via our affiliate link. Thanks in advance to anyone that buys this piece via our link!
CINEMAQUETTE PREDATOR PHOTOS
I think some people may have missed this but I have been collecting TONS of photos of the new Cinemaquette Predator that had everyone drooling this past weekend at the SDCC show. I update this gallery with everything I can find, so check out the Cinemaquette Gallery for photos you may not have seen before!
NECA IS PRODUCING AvP2 FIGURES
Well thank the Lord, McFarlane has passed the Predator torch to another company after it’s completely disastrous attempt in their AvP series 2 figure line. For those of you that don’t really collect figures, McFarlane has been producing Predator and Alien toys for years and recently they released 2 series of AvP figures. The first series was in their usual scale format and were EXTREMELY hot sellers and FLEW off the shelves. Then in a move that completely baffled the figure collecting world, they changed their line format for series 2 and made these miniature diorama style figures that were complete garbage. To this day, you can find piles of these figures on store shelves and it was a complete disaster and sales were terrible. So thankfully, NECA, who seems to be doing all the right things lately, has taken over and will hopefully bring these figs back to glory. They showed off an alien from AvP2 at SDCC, but so far there’s no sign of the Predator.
That’s it for now gang! Thanks for reading
Dan
