Hey everyone!

Today I have a TON of stuff to show you and I want to give you a heads up on some cool products from various companies that are not related to Predator, but cool nonetheless!

Predator 1 Mothership:

First up in today’s post is something that I had been working on for a long time and finally finished a month or two ago but never got around to posting. This is a VERY rare P1 mothership that was sculpted and cast by an unknown Asian artist that was commissioned by a guy I met a few times at local shows in the area of Montreal Canada. Basically the story goes that the artist created this piece and our mutual friend asked for some extra castings so sell in North America. Well, 5 castings were done when the mold cracked and was tossed, so the artist kept 1 and 4 were sold and I managed to get 1. And that’s where the adventure began…

When I first received this kit, it was in absolutely HORRIBLE shape and the entire casting logic was pathetic. There was massive sprue on the side engine parts where the ribbed cones came to a point and had to be completely re-shaped. There was also absolutely no keying on the parts at all, and some holes in weird spots, as though they were meant to be keyed but was simply never done. So the lack of joints and ridiculous sprue made for huge gaps, so I had to go all out with bondo and Aves Apoxie Sculpt to repair the thing. The resin was also very brittle and I had chunks of porous resin falling off as I sanded and had to refill and re-shape. Check out all the in-progress shots in the gallery… you’ll also see the new lower fin I had to sculpt because the cast one was completely mauled. It looked like a dog had chewed it.

In the end, the piece came out pretty nice and officially became my second built kit ever! Check out the pics by clicking the photo icon below:

So while this is a sweet kit and the first I have seen of a P1 ship, I’m afraid it’s not available for distribution. Sorry guys

Sideshow Goodies – Full Scale Predator Bust!

At the risk of sounding like a salesman on this, if you can afford this piece, then you should buy it without hesitation! It is quite sincerely completely kick ass and worth every penny. I know a lot of you pre-paint collectors out there know that more often than not, the prototype photos look way better than the final production piece you get. Sideshow Goodies – T-800 Endo Busts!

Not sure if you guys have seen these, but Sideshow recently announced these wicked nice T-800 Endoskeleton busts that are arriving in their warehouse very soon. I have personally ordered myself both the Clean Version and the Combat Version because both look so insanely nice and I thought maybe this would interest any of you Terminator fans out there.

Here’s the Clean Version, fresh off the battle chassis production line (click for order page and more photos):

And then we have the Combat version, complete with carbon blast marks and battle damage from close encounters with the human rebels (click for order page and more photos):

These are produced directly from Stan Winston Studios from the actual movie molds and even feature the cranium piece that comes off to reveal the removable CPU chip. Finished in chrome and the eyes even light up! You can find the Clean Version HERE and the Comat Version HERE.
