Plogger Gallery Script Hacked – Sorry for the Downtime

Looks like we were down for most of the day today courtesy of some ass that decided hacking the gallery script would be a cool thing to do. They basically setup a fake Wells Fargo bank front end and then sent out a bunch of Phishing emails to grab passwords and such. I was contacted by Wells Fargo today but I wasn’t around, so the host had to shut down the account. Came home today to a suspended site page. Yay! So I re-activated the site and cleaned up the whole mess and patched the gallery. If any of you use Plogger and run the 2.0 beta, there’s a 2.1 update avaialble that fixes the holes.
Oh, and just in case you are wondering, this wasn’t a site specific hack. All these script kiddies do between diaper changes is look up “powered by plogger” in google and just randomely attack whatever comes up. Ahh.. the joy of the internet.
Anyhow, everything is back up and running with zero data loss. Sorry for the inconvenience gang
