MTC Reviews and Photographs the Small Cottage 26″ Unmasked Predator!
October 19th, 2005
In today’s review and photo update, we look at the gorgeous 26″ 1:3 scale Unmasked Predator sculpted by Shawn Nagle and produced by Small Cottage. I can’t say enough good things about this Predator kit, but at it’s massive size and extremely well detailed and appealing sculpt, this baby has earned top marks as one of the best kits in my collection. My good friend Qenex brought this beautiful model alive with his top notch painting skills and it was a lot of fun to photograph this beast. A note to you folks that are thinking of picking up this kit, you may want to ensure that you fill in the legs and feet, if not the entire thing, with plaster to ensure to doesn’t warp forward on you. Gravity definitely pulls it forward… in fact, mine leans forward, but it’s actually posed that way as he looks like he’s about to take a step at you.
If you’re thinking of picking this up, the original re-seller no longer carries them, but good ol MonstersInMotion.com can still hook you up with an original kit HERE.
You can also see this kit’s older brother, the original masked version scultped by Greg Polutanovich HERE.
So all in all, this kit kicks serious ass and is well worth investing in.
Now for the good stuff! Here are some pictures from my photo shoot with Qenex’s bad boy 26″ predator kit… Click the images for the high resolution verion and enjoy! (sorry 56k ppl) Click on HERE for Photo Goodness!
